Colt Breaking

   Breaking a horse to ride is like setting the foundation before building a house. You need a good foundation in order to a have a successful horse. The breaking period also affects how the horse will react to further training sessions and introductions to new things. They have to be corrected when they do something wrong and rewarded when they do something right. Things that seem normal to you might not seem so normal to them. Think about that the next time you eat a greasy burger then go work with your horse and they look at you kinda funny! It's all about the experience. Make it a good one.

 

General Riding

    Training never stops no matter how old the horse. Horses that sit out in pasture sometime need a little reminder of what we expect from them. If your horse needs a reminder, a few more miles, or time that you just don't have, let us know. No matter what breed or disciplne you ride we can help you with your horse. Don't let all those western saddles fool you! Believe it or not even something like chasing cows can help a Dressage horse!

 

Problem Horses

    Horses can quickly pick up bad habits and they can get worse over time if not corrected. If you have a horse that: Bucks, Rears, Kicks, Bites, Takes off, Doesn’t Stand Tied, Won't Load, Won't pick up feet or Won't stand still to mount, call us. Many of these can be extremely dangerous if you don't know what you are dealing with. We specialize in working with problem horses. Remember just because they have a bad habit it does not mean they are a bad horse, they just don't know any better and have to be reminded how to act!
